Ayodhya: Construction of a state-of-the-art 300-bed hospital in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region. The ambitious project is expected to significantly enhance medical facilities not only for Ayodhya residents but also for people from nearby districts.
To review the pace and quality of the work, Shashank Tripathi conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction hospital building and assessed various aspects of the project, including construction standards, timelines and public utility arrangements.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate issued strict instructions to the executing agency, making it clear that no compromise would be tolerated in terms of quality or safety standards. He emphasised that the hospital would serve as a major lifeline for lakhs of people across the region and therefore must be completed within the stipulated timeframe and according to approved specifications.
Officials said the upcoming healthcare facility is being designed with modern medical infrastructure and patient-centric services. During the visit, Shashank Tripathi reviewed plans related to hospital wards, outpatient departments (OPD), emergency units and other critical healthcare services that will be available once the project becomes operational.
The District Magistrate also directed officials to ensure strict compliance with safety norms at the construction site to prevent any lapses during the execution phase.

Authorities believe the 300-bed hospital will provide a major boost to the district’s healthcare system after completion. The facility is expected to reduce the need for critically ill patients to travel to larger cities for advanced treatment, thereby improving access to quality healthcare within the region itself.
Senior officials from the health department, representatives of the construction agency and other concerned departments were also present during the inspection and reviewed the ongoing progress of the project.
The initiative is being seen as part of Ayodhya’s broader infrastructure transformation, with rapid development underway across sectors including healthcare, transport, tourism and civic amenities.
